Creating Algebraic Equations

Today we are learning how to create the formula for the rule in an equation. we needed to remember to use a letter which symbolises a number that could be any number in a sequence for the 1st to the 500th and the formula could still work. We start using 'n' as the variable (number that changes), but the sheet referred to the 1st term and 2nd term so we thought this was easier to translate to 't'. Initially working out the formula was tricky, but then we got the hang of it. Can't wait until we do some more.

  1. Ka pai Room 9. I remember finding this tricky at school. The most useful tip someone shared with me was to look at the gaps between the terms and that was a big clue for your formula.

  2. Ka pai Room 9. It is pleasing to see your algebraic work. This reminds me of how tricky it was for me doing algebra. I think for next time you do algebra maybe try and make it clear for everyone to see because it looks blurry but keep on doing the great work.

  3. Hi Wesley Intermediate I really like your math blog. I also post math on my blog. When are you going to do another post?
